Peninsula offers before- and after-school care, in addition to full-time summer care, for school-age children at Boise Eliot/Humboldt, King and Sabin Elementary Schools.
Peninsula’s on-site classrooms provide a comfortable place where children can prepare for their school day – and unwind when the school day is over. Since school-age children spend the day in structured learning, our job is to help them extend learning into the before- and after-school hours by providing fun and creative opportunities for exploration and development. Children are encouraged to pursue their own interests, and our curriculum addresses topics that the children are curious about. We continue to work on developing the life skills and attitudes that children need to succeed as individuals and as social beings – positive work habits toward homework, self-control, respect for others, curiosity, exploration and problem-solving, and literacy.
Full Day Summer Camp Program
Our full-day summer program features all of the elements of our before- and after-school program, plus additional opportunities for education and outdoor play. It is hosted at Sabin Elementary School and is open to all children ages 5 – 12. We put on plays, experiment with science, and take field trips to The Air and Space Museum, OMSI, The Oregon Zoo – and more!
We look forward to talking with you about our curriculum, program, availability and wait list procedures. Call or email Abby at 503-280-0534 ext 13, or at email@example.com. She will be happy to answer questions and coordinate access to the school-age site of your preference.
