Part-Day Preschool

For families who live, work, or play in North/Northeast Portland and parents who want the best possible education for their 3-5 year old children who are potty-trained, Peninsula Children’s Center offers a comprehensive, high-quality, part-day preschool program with competitive rates. As the oldest child development center in North Portland, we put 40 years of experience into our high-quality early childhood education program.

Our curriculum is centered around The Creative Curriculum, a nationally recognized, developmentally appropriate, research-based curriculum framework. Exploring this framework within a stable and enriching environment through the positive, nurturing and engaging relationship between your child and teacher promotes problem-solving, critical thinking, social-emotional development and content area skills.

Access to the right resources is what you can count on at Peninsula starting with our family and activities coordinator who meets with each family upon enrollment to assess the individual needs of you and your child. Additionally, we offer free parent education seminars, free vision and hearing screening, a nurse practitioner, early childhood specialists, and a whole lot more.

Nestled in one of North Portland’s quietest neighborhoods, our location has great access to I-5 and yellow line Max. The building and grounds comprise a whole city block with trails; learning gardens; and two large, partially-covered play areas to allow your child to be engaged through play, dialogue and collaboration.

Part-Day Program Tuition Structure

Monday / Wednesday / Friday        9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m              $250 per month

Tuesday / Thursday                             9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.             $185 per month

Monday – Friday                                    9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.             $400 per month

Before care (Monday – Friday)        7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.               $5.90 per hour

After care (Monday – Friday)           12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.            $5.90 per hour
